Swiss banks created more than 8,000 jobs in 2006

Zurich, Switzerland (GenevaLunch) – Swiss banks created more than 7,000 jobs in 2006, with 3,700 of those in Switzerland and 4,800 outside the country. The country’s two largest banks, UBS and Credit Suisse account for more than half of all banking jobs. The industry employs nearly 130,000 people.
