Katmandu, Nepal (BBC and TSR, Fre) - Two Swiss tourists and 12 Germans are believed to have been among the 18 people who died when a plane crashed and caught fire at the airport in the eastern Nepalese town of Lukla.

The airport is used by climbers and trekkers heading to Himalayan expeditions. According to Al Jazeera, officials are still trying to confirm if the tourists listed on the passenger list were actually on the Yeti airline plane.
