Bern, Switzerland (GenevaLunch) - Members of the Swiss cabinet, the Federal Council, appear to be on the attack against high salaries and bonuses in Switzerland, particularly in the banking industry.
Swissinfo reports that acting Finance Minister Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf told several newspapers over the weekend that the Federal Council is considering measures to limit high payouts in the large Swiss banks. Dolores Leuhard mentioned in a speech in Engelberg said that “excessive bonuses do not inspire confidence.”
