Lausanne, Switzerland (GenevaLunch) - Attention passengers: it is time to get on board. As of Monday 27 October, Lausanne will officially become the world’s smallest city with a metro system.
The first automated rail system in Switzerland will begin services connecting new and existing tracks from Ouchy to Croisettes and crossing right through (or underneath) the heart of the largest city in Canton Vaud. This is good news for commuters who have been waiting to try the M2 railway-technology responsible for carrying up 6,600 passengers per hour. The M2 will be covered by the mobilis card.
