(GenevaLunch) - Rafael Nadal has decided not to compete in the Masters in Shanghai 9 November, which he describes as “one of the most difficult decisions in my career due to the importance of the event” and his fondness for the fans and organizers in China.

His reasons appear to be that the tour this year has been exhausting. The final of the Davis Cup 22-23 November clearly played a role in his decision, with Nadal saying that “I want to recover and be ready for the important Davis Cup final with my country that will be played in Mar del Plata, Argentina.”
