Lake Geneva region (GenevaLunch) - November is here, with its gray skies, chilly air but also its changeability.
The weekend weather forecast is damp but with temperatures between 2 and 13C, colder in Geneva than in Vaud and Valais, and further away from Lake Geneva.
Don’t use the weather as an excuse to stay home - check out the GenevaLunch events pages for ideas about where to go this weekend, from Chavannes, close to home, for your shopping but with the Cern science exhibit on display to the Library in English autumn book sale, a major event for the English-speaking community that starts today.
Go further afield: Expovina, a major wine fair in Zurich is easy to reach by train, or drive over the Simplon pass to Italy from the Lausanne area: the extension of the autoroute around Visp and Brig has reduced the time of the trip by several minutes and autumn colours are lingering. Allow 2 hours between Sierre, Valais and Gondo, Italy.
