Lausanne, Switzerland (GenevaLunch) - RouteRank, an EPFL incubator company whose online product shows travel options between two points, searching a wide range of databases, Thursday received KPMG’s “Tomorrow’s market award” and CHF50,000.

The search tool is in beta but GenevaLunch tested it and searches are quick, with little information input needed. It has the advantage of searching more than one transport company so if, for example, you’re contemplating driving from Saint Prex, Vaud to Birmingham, England, it gives you four pages of options, and if you tell it what kind of car you drive it will build in a comparison of the CO2 you’ll use for each type of transport. What the beta version doesn’t yet offer is prices, just a word that this is coming.

The product was developed by a former mathematics researcher at EPFL, Jochen Mundinger.
