Bern, Switzerland (GenevaLunch) - Students at Swiss high schools who are preparing to take their maturité national university entrance examinations are “satisfactorily” prepared for Swiss university programmes, a federal study shows, but they are not equally prepared.

The 3,800 students who participated in the study  were tested in areas where the curriculum has been revised since 2004, in three main subject: first language, mathematics and biology. The students did best in first language tests but there were large differences in individual’s subject results as well as within classes.
