Swiss wages up

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND –  A report published Friday 13 July says Swiss university graduates expect to achieve the highest pay in the world, having adjusted their expectations in 2012 upwards by 23.4 percent since last year.

A survey conducted by Universum on university graduates in 20 countries places salary expectations for Swiss students at $6,612 in 2012, approximately double the $3,299 expected by students in the United Kingdom, which placed 10th in top expected salaries. Norway was second at $5,913 and  Denmark third ($5,489).

In Canada, which placed fourth ($4,594), students expectations were up 5.4 percent, reflecting, just as in Switzerland a positive outlook on the economy.
