11-year-old flies from Manchester to Rome without plane ticket

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – The UK has begun an inquiry as of how did an 11-year-old manage to safely fly from Manchester, England to Rome, Italy on a Jet2.com flight.

The boy did this having no boarding pass at security, no boarding pass at the gate, no passport and no boarding pass stub once on the plane, airport workers failed to notice the boy was on his own. Even a headcount onboard the flight failed to detect the child.

Jet2.com staff and several airport workers have been suspended, and three separate investigations are now being held to establish how the boy was able to evade the security checkpoints.
