GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – The Midwest and Northeast part of the United States have been hit by powerful thunderstorms which have dumped rained and created havoc in their path.
The storms are responsible for grounding hundreds of flights and leaving tens of thousands of people without power.
A tornado touched down damaging a mall and a local country club in New York State.
There are 36 million people in the path of severe storms stretching from Oklahoma State through New England, says the National Weather Service.
