LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND – Police in canton Vaud are appealing to the public to help them find a driver who provoked an accident on the A1 autoroute at the St Croix interchange near Lausanne and Morges Monday 20 August at 21:15. The accident did not result in any injuries, but the driver did not stop although the car behind him fishtailed badly and crashed into the median divider.
A 21-year-old Vaud youth was driving a white Ford Fiesta, heading from Cossonay towards the Villars-Ste-Croix interchange, in the passing lane in heavy traffic, say police, when he was surprised by a white Audi A3 that pulled out and cut in front of him sharply to pass a truck. He was forced to brake hard and lost control of his car, crashing into the divider.
Police are asking anyone with information about the driver of the Audi to contact them at +41 21 644 8400.
