A9 roadworks: additional light and sound could distract drivers
LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND – Motorists are warned that anti-noise barriers will be installed on the Chillon viaduct of the A9 autoroute near Villeneuve between 27 August and early October, at times provoking additional noise and light in the roadworks area already in place.
The barriers on the mountain side, taken down for the construction work now going on, will be replaced near Villeneuve. New barriers will be added near Veytaux starting 3 September.
The work will take place between 14:00 and midnight, but should not have an additional impact on traffic flow.
