GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – A 33-year-old Valais man lost his life Thursday evening in Martigny when his motorcycle overturned as he was using the Simplon-Levant roundabout. He hit the central divider just before the roundabout at 23:15 and was then thrown against the edge of the roundabout. He died during the night from his injuries.
The Swiss highway department last week noted that while the overall number of deaths and serious injuries from road accidents continues to fall, the number of deaths from motorcycles accidents is on the rise.
