Cool weather reminder from Energy Office

BERN, SWITZERLAND – The Federal Energy Office is reminding drivers that cool weather offers an opportunity to reduce petrol consumption and reduce CO2: turning off  your air conditioning when the temperature hits 18C cuts consumption by 5 percent.

MeteoSwiss, the national weather service, is forecasting highs of 15-18C Thursday and only a degree or two higher Friday, with cloudy skies, in the greater Lake Geneva region.

Heavy rains in much of the region Wednesday brought snow at higher altitudes.
