GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – Hundreds of protesters stormed the US Embassy in Yemen and a second wave tried to reach the US Embassy in Cairo a day after a first protest there, against an amateur film mocking Islam, filmed in the US. A group of Egyptian ministers has asked the Obama administration to take action against the movie, “Innocence of Muslims”. The making of the film is drawing more attention; Reuters reports that one of the actresses “said the video as it appeared bore no resemblance to the original filming. She had not been aware it was about the Prophet Mohammad”.
The US Department of State has issued a Libya travel advisory for Americans following the death of the ambassador there this week, but other countries with protests were not listed Thursday morning Swiss time.
