What to do in the Lake Geneva area this weekend
Avenches, 14-17 September, Equus Helveticus, Swiss championships – horse shows and races galore at the national stud farm and the Hippodrome. A major treat for horselovers.
Russin in Geneva is celebrating the grape harvest, now underway in some villages (more of these coming up in the next few days). This is a big 50th anniversary, so plenty of fun planned.
Geneva, Saturday 15 September, the United Nations is holding open house at the Palais, a great opportunity to visit the beautiful Ariana park.
Lausanne, 14-23 September, Comptoir Suisse fair and trade show for the public, with an extraordinary mix of things to see and do, eat and drink: “where city and country meet”.
