Champery restaurant fire, near ski lift
GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – A fire broke out at the deserted Champéry-Planachaux restaurant, located at the top of the Champéry resort’s ski lift, Wednesday 10 October.
It was noticed by a lift operator who alerted the fire department.
The interior of the restaurant was completely burned and sustained heavy damage, according to canton Valais polilce, but no one was injured.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
