First train police gunshot in 3 months: officer’s own foot

BERN, SWITZERLAND – All CFF rail company police officers carry guns, since the Federal Council voted to allow them to do so in 2011. The first guns were put into service three months ago and until Wednesday 17 October none of them were used. The first gunshot occurred at the security centre in Bern, early this morning, when one of the officers accidentally shot himself in the heel, and had to be hospitalized, Swiss news agency ats reports.
