Flood of skiing Brits increases number of border guards

The Geneva airport terminal specially built for non-Schengen passengers

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – The British may not pose too many problems for border guards, but the number of the latter has nevertheless been increased sharply as a flood of British skiers enters the country, reports the Tribune de Geneve: up from 62 to 75 over the weekend.

British visitors arriving in large numbers mean more work since Britain is not part of the Schengen Accord and as a result all British passports must be checked.
