Marie-Thérèse Chappaz on a bisse walk in Valais, explaining nearly-disappeared grape varieties

A beautiful as well as educational  wine film made for Swiss public television has just been named the winner of two international awards: “Les saisons de Marie-Thérèse Chappaz” by Fred Florey, co-produced by Bordu Films and TSR, has been named the Oenovideo film of the year in France. It has also been named the 2010 best wine portrait by Fijev (Fédération Internationale des Journalistes et Ecrivains du Vin), the international organization for wine writers and journalists.

Chappaz is known among Swiss winemakers as one of their stars, an excellent producer in general. The public knows her especially for her extraordinary sweet wines, but as one of the country’s top winemakers, and a close friend of hers, Raymond Paccot says, “She is the best when it comes to knowing grapes”, the start to great wines.
