Lausanne, Switzerland (24 Heures and 20 Minutes, Fre) – The battle of the Rives publiques association to make the shoreline of Lake Geneva accessible to the public had a boost Tuesday when the canton’s governing body, the Grand Conseil, insisted that the communes must do more. The canton’s development plan calls for all obstacles to be removed that hamper an open lakefront, but the communes are responsible for implementing the plan on their territory.
