Lausanne, Switzerland (24 Heures, Fre) – Lausanne’s much-debated new fine arts museum took a major step closer to happening with the unveiling of its design by city authorities.

Architects Berrel Wülser Kräutler of Zurich’s Ying Yang project for the cantonal Musée des beaux-arts shows a luminous building with several panoramic views over the lake and French Alps from the Bellerives lakefront location.

The museum has several political hurdles to jump before final approval and construction, starting with a series of public debates in coming weeks.
