Geneva, Switzerland (Tribune de Geneve, Fre) – A 25-year-old was murdered in Paquis, just outside a bar and with several people nearby, Monday night shortly before midnight. The neighbourhood is reeling, reports the Tribune, which carries a long article about the city’s first homicide in 2008. Police appear to have ruled out drugs and there is a possibility that a love triangle may be part of the story. Three men  escaped after stabbing the young man in the heart.

Ed. note: Paquis, between the train station and the Lake Geneva, has long been popularly known as Geneva’s red light district, but in recent years it has developed a better reputation for being a lively corner of the city, with money invested in upmarket hotels and trendy small restaurants.
