Lausanne, Switzerland (24 Heures, Fre and TSR, Fre) – The BCV, Vaud’s cantonal bank, in 2007 had the second-best year in its history, with net income of CHF477 and total revenues of CHF1.1 billion. The overall performance was "stable" with net income down due to a heavier  tax burden that was foreseen. The balance sheet was up 7%, thanks in large part to growing customer deposits. Details, BCV

CEO Alexandre Zeller announced that after six years with the bank he will be leaving after the April shareholders’ meeting, but his new employer as well as his successor have not been named.
