Lausanne, Switzerland (TSR, Fre) – A thousand civil servants took to the streets Thursday to protest the canton’s new salary scale. The largest union did not participate and the mini-strike lacked the impact of protests in January, when 12,000 people including many teachers, went on strike. A strike is planned for 31 May, when more civil servants are expected to join.
