Libya (Yahoo/AFP) – The Libyan news agency Jana reports that Libya is removing the money it has in Swiss bank accounts, which it estimates at $7 billion, as part of the continuing fallout from the diplomatic rift between Libya and Switzerland.
The news has not been confirmed by the Swiss government or banks. The diplomatic crisis was sparked in July 2008 when Libyan leader Qadaffi’s son Hannibal was arrested in Geneva.
