Grand-Lancy, Geneva, Switzerland (Tribune de Geneve, Fre) – Too many commuters are using the streets of Geneva suburb Grand-Lancy to park their cars for the day and the town has decided to act on the problem.

The town will be turning all parking spaces into bleu zones, with parking limited to 60 minutes (89 if you arrive just after the hour or half hour), and a small number of white zones with longer parking for residents and people who work in the commune. The change needs cantonal approval, but is expected to go into effect before the summer of 2009. Petit-Lancy may follow suit, according to the Tribune.
