Jamaica (GenevaLunch) – The England team were thrashed in the first test at Sabina Park despite having the two most expensive players in the world.
Kevin Pietersen and Andrew Flintoff could do nothing to prevent one of the most humiliating batting displays for decades as they tumbled to 51 all out on a docile pitch. England just escaped breaking the record for their lowest ever score, 46 all out against the Windies in 1994. Jerome Taylor took five for 11 by bowling fast, pitched up deliveries and watching England self destruct. The West Indies won by an innings and 23 runs. Few of the England team can be sure of keeping their places for the next test. Details, Guardian, UK

Never mind, poor boys.
“Poor Boys”. My mistake. They must have been thinking of the dosh.
Should have said Rich Boys. Soon off to India for 3 weeks of more sunshine and filling the coffers.
Why do we always live on past glories.
Bring in some newcomers with a bit of hunger and something to aim for.
