Innsbruck, Austria (GenevaLunch) - One of Switzerland’s top skiers, Daniel Albrecht, has come out of the coma induced by doctors shortly after an accident during training in mid-January left him with head and lung injuries.
A brief report published at noon by the hospital in Innsbruck where he has been under treatment says that in the past 24 hours his condition improved enough that they were able to remove breathing tubes. It will take until the weekend for Albrecht to come completely out of his coma. A more complete update will be issued Friday.
