Switzerland (GenevaLunch) – MeteoSwiss has put out the first pollen alert of the season, with the arrival of warm weather. Hazelnuts and willow trees are starting to flower and pollen levels are expected to be medium to high.
Details are available at www.pollenetallergie.ch (Fre), a joint web site by the national weather service and the Swiss Allergy Centre. The pollen alert is later than usual this year due to unusually cold weather in January and February but with trees more heavily laden than usual with buds pollen could reach very high levels.
