Monte Carlo (GenevaLunch) - Rafael Nadal confirmed his position as number one and uncontested king of clay with his fifth successive victory in Monte Carlo.
The Spanish star beat Novak Djokovic 6-3 2-6 6-1 in a match where the Serb showed periods of brilliant play but was unable to maintain sufficient pressure to end Nadal’s winning streak. Nadal beat Andy Murray in the semi-finals while Djokovic edged past Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka in three sets. Details, Guardian
