Bern, Switzerland (GenevaLunch) - Swiss work productivity fell by a record 3.3 percent during the first three months of 2009, compared to the same period a year earlier, reports wire service ATS, which mandated a study by BAK Basel Economics Institute. The sharp fall is explained by the sudden slowdown in Swiss industry while the number of employees remained relatively unchanged, as companies were just beginning to react to the global economic slowdown.
