Vevey, Switzerland (GenevaLunch) – All is ready for the Swiss leg of the Beach Volleyball World Championship in Vevey. The Market Plaza in Vevey, Vaud will be transformed into a beach town from 12-16 August.
Fourteen professional teams from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Italy, Mali, Slovenia, Switzerland and the US will compete in Vevey before heading to Lugano and on to Sicily, Italy.
In addition to the world competitions there will be free events and activities for kids and adults. Fans will have the opportunity to join in and play: all they have to do is e-mail WVBF President Jean Pierre Seppey.
The WVBF was established in 2006 with more than 80 affiliated national associations, and complies with the International Olympic Committee’s guidelines.
