Cincinnati, USA (GenevaLunch) - Roger Federer cruised past world number 4 Novak Djokovic 6-1 7-5 to take his third Cincinnati Masters title: he also won in 2005 and 2007.
He swiftly moved to a 4-0 lead in the first set and even though the second set was more competitive the result was never in doubt. The next big test will be the US Open, which starts in a week.
In the women’s finals of the Rogers Cup in Toronto Elena Dementieva beat Maria Sharapova 6-4 6-3 in an all-Russian final.
