Cincinnati, USA (GenevaLunch) - Roger Federer showed why he is number one and put Andy Murray in his place with a superb display of tennis, taking the first set 6-2 with ease and then winning the second in the tie-break to end a four-match losing run against the Scot.
In the other semi-final Novak Djokovic took 75 percent of his first serve points to end Rafa Nadal’s comeback from injury with a 6-1 6-4 victory in just 91 minutes. He only had to face one break point.
In the Rogers Cup in Toronto Elena Dementieva beat Serena Williams to set up a final against Maria Sharapova.
