Under Swiss law, names of everyone involved in a court case must remain private: I don't have the legal right to publish them. The law was, of course, written before the Internet meant people can just go to a Russian site if it's not on a Swiss site. As for accuracy, one of the big problems with this or any other story is journalists just picking up their information from other web sites, without doublechecking. So inaccurate stories tend to become more believable just because they are published by more media. Police did initially infer the VW had a woman driving, but it was quickly corrected: the driver is a 70-year-old man, German, longtime Geneva resident. I checked again with the police: there were no witnesses to the accident itself, and the man who was hit, in the Golf, is too badly injured at the moment to be interviewed.
