Lausanne, Switzerland (GenevaLunch) - The city of Lausanne made the surprise announcement Wednesday 2 December that the chairman of the foundation behind the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra and the group’s manager have both resigned. The company has been in financial trouble, but concerts scheduled for 2010 are going ahead. Swiss media report that there has been tension between the two men, some of the musicians and city officials.
Patrick Peikert, manager, will leave in May 2010 and Olivier Verrey, chairman, has resigned effectively immediately.
