Changins, Vaud, Switzerland (GenevaLunch) – Strong winds raged through parts of western Switzerland Monday night, 7-8 December, reaching almost 100kph at the MeteoSwiss weather station at Changins, Vaud. A spokesperson at the weather station at Changins told GenevaLunch that winds this strong are not uncommon.
Winds at higher altitudes blew harder, reaching 112kph at Diablerets.
