Vladimir Putin, Russia’s prime minister and former president who enjoys a reputation as a highly fit sportsman, told the Russian national judo team he would be happy to join them, if they need him. The offer came after a nationally televised session working out with the team, where the 57-year-old black belt was shown “throwing squad members half his age and even tackling the chief trainer, Olympic Gold medalist Ezio Gamba”, reports Reuters. The school’s head denies that Putin may have been allowed to win, saying that he has the “psychology of a winner.”
