Lausanne, Switzerland (GenevaLunch) - Police from canton Vaud and the Lake Geneva emergency rescue services were out in force at 23:00 Wednesday, looking along the lakefront in a village near Morges for a person from the region who had gone missing. A rescue helicopter swept its searchlights over the lake, while boats combed the water along the shore and a gathering crowd of silent, worried people stood in the snow to watch the hour-long search.
The drama ended on a positive note: the teenager, who had run away, returned home Thursday morning, Vaud police spokesperson Jean-Christophe Sauterel told GenevaLunch.
