Geneva, Switzerland (GenevaLunch) - Nicholas Tate, director-general of the International School of Geneva (ISG), will retire in August 2011, the school’s governing foundation has announced. It has begun a search for his successor to head the world’s oldest and largest international school.
The board notes that Tate has overseen a period of important growth for the school, including: the opening of a third campus in Geneva (Nations), several major construction projects at La Grande Boissière campus in Geneva, and a new sports center at La Châtaigneraie campus in Founex, Vaud. Construction will begin in spring on a new primary school at La Châtaigneraie and a large new extension, sports center, post-16 learning centre, and administrative center at Campus des Nations.
The ISG has also, under his guidance, extended support centres for special needs students at two of the three campuses.
