Acceptance rate at 18.7%

Bern, Switzerland (GenevaLunch.com) – The number of people seeking asylum in Switzerland fell by 4.2 percent from April to June 2010, with a total of 3,544 demands. Nigerians remain the largest group, with 421 requests for asylum.

During the same period 968 people were granted asylum out of the 5,473 cases reviewed, for an acceptance rate of 18.7 percent.
