(video) Zurich, Switzerland (GenevaLunch) – Kerstin Cook, 21, has been crowned the new Miss Switzerland.
Cook was voted the “most beautiful woman in Switzerland” among 12 candidates that competed in a televised final 25 September.
The winner, following distance learning courses in biology from Oxford Open University, is of British ancestry. Her mother is British and her father is half-Swiss, half-British.
The reigning Miss Switzerland, elected by a studio jury and the television audience will serve a one-year term.
Beauty queen measurements: she is 180cm, and 85-62-91.
Sabrina Guilloud, 23, born in Veyrier, Geneva, and a student at the University of Ticino, came second. Jennifer Hurschler of Zurich was the first runner-up.
Schweizer Illustrierte a German-language magazine carries lengthy articles and behind-the-scenes pictures with the candidates.
