Huibert Gerard Boumeester, 49, the former chief financial officer at ABN Amro Bank, has been found dead in woods in Berkshire, England, with two gunshoot wounds to his head. Police are investigating it as an “unexplained death”, according to the BBC. Boumeester quit his job in March 2009.
The problems of Freddie Mac in the US were increased Wednesday with news that David Kellermann, age 41 and a 16-year employee of the beleageured US mortgage finance company, appears to have committed suicide at his family home near Washington DC. He was named acting finance director in September 2008. The company was put under the rule of government regulators following the start of the sub-prime crisis in the US, and in March 2009 CEO David Moffett, appointed by the government, left after only six months.
