Sabu is one tough girl - Photo Knie

Update / Aargau, Switzerland (GenevaLunch) - Sabu, a well-known circus escape artist has done it again. The 26-year-old female pachyderm of the Swiss national circus, Knie, decided she wasn’t quite ready to go to Basel after all. Instead, she opted for a short walk around Wettingen where the circus had just finished performing.

Sabu made headlines this past weekend when she decided to take a stroll trough Zurich before dipping in the waters of Lake Zurich.

While it wasn’t clear how Sabu managed to flee her handlers, once again, she was re-captured without incident and is fine. Luckily, no one was hurt.

A note posted on the Knie website says Sabu is well but she’s been sent back to the barn for a while  with her buddies, MaPalaj, Ceylon and Dehli. She won’t be performing, in order to avoid a third escape and possible injuries to bystanders.

There is no performance Thursday night.
