Here is an easy cryptic crossword that disobeys a few compiling rules – but why not now and again? Two letter words are not permitted unless there is a good reason for them, abbreviations are frowned on (but you should have no difficulty with these), proper nouns have to be signaled (they aren’t here but that should cause no difficulty either) and there has to be a fair proportion of black squares in a blocked grid.
