In this skeleton crossword, the black squares and clue numbers have to be filled in as well as the solutions, which are of the general knowledge type. The black squares form a symmetrical pattern with the top matching the bottom and the two sides corresponding, so you can already fill in 12 more black squares to correspond with those given. This link will allow you to print a pdf of the crossword but, owing to technicalities, I am afraid it will give you the complete grid with the black squares and numbers in place.

    Very sorry but this one won’t work as a pdf. in view of the fact that the black squares aren’t in the grid and have to be put in. I’ll see if I can put up just the grid and the clues.
