Dogs, be free! These beautiful (dog) days are a great excuse to take your four legged friend for a walk off leash. But where to go? Easy!
Canton Geneva has just published a downloadable map that shows all the off-the-leash friendly zones in the City and Canton.
“A practical guide of the citizen dog in Geneva,” also includes tips for dog owners on dog behavior. The guide, published for the first time this year, also highlights dog-free areas all over the Canton.
The Canton also offers a publication for those wanting to know more about the impact of pets on the regional faune and flora a nice addition to the guide.
Although you may print the guide and map directly from the internet, you will find that doing so is not very effective. In my opinion, the foldable map that the Canton offers is easier to use and can be easily stored while hiking (as opposed to several pages of printed material).
If you are interested in receiving the guide it can be mailed to you by simply contacting the Cantonal veterinarian office. Email them or call them at +41 22 327 39 00 and let your dog… be free!
