Too cold to go swimming outdoors

Too cold to go swimming outdoors

Geneva, Switzerland – The days are getting shorter by the minute and Geneva will soon be submerged in that “perma-gray” that makes us all a bit stir-crazy. One good way to beat the blues is by exercising and adding new physical activities to our routine.

Swimming lessons are given by a number of swim clubs including:

  • Natation Ecole in Varembe and Vernier, the two pools managed by the city of Geneva, offer classes year round for children and adults. Some courses are offered by instructors that speak English.
  • Dauphins offers courses for babies, children and adults, as well as advanced synchronized swimming in Meyrin and Avanchets.
  • Meyrin offers courses Monday thru Friday after school hours.

Read my “ultimate guide” to Geneva’s swimming pools here. For swimming lessons on the lake click here.

Get your fins on and happy swimming!
